The Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park considered as one of the best hot spots of biodiversity in the world and is home to many endemic species. You will get a great chance to learn about conservation background; knowledge and see the stunning jungle from a local expert who has been working at Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park for 8 years.

After seeing the Wildlife Center and its patients and residents, you will trek through the tropical forest in the National Park using a “Secret Route”  which the soldiers used during the war. Have a barbecue lunch cooked at the “Weapon Cave”. After the trek you have the option to swim in a crystal natural swimming pool.

 View the beautiful scenery of the park in safety on the back of the motorbike of a licensed Vietnamese local rider who used to be hunters and loggers as you travel between the Wildlife Rescue Center and the Botanical Garden.

This tour is a great way to see what happens in the background of the National Park, will get you up and close with many of the animals that inhabit it, and is a great way to support the local community. The tour does include quite a tough hike (from 8 to 10km, depends on the participants condition) through the jungle to a primary forest, so please be quite fit!

 

 

Tour Itinerary:

– From 08:30 am: Start at Bamboo Cafe to Wildlife Rescue Station.

– 08:45 – 09:45:  Experience the Wildlife Rescue Station (learn stories; see the wildlife)

–  09:55 – 10:10: Transport to Botanical Garden

– 10:15 – 12:30: Trekking through the proper jungle

– 12:45 – 13:45: BBQ Lunch in Jungle and Resting

– 14:00- 16:30: Trekking through the jungle and back to the Botanical Garden.

– 16:30 – 17:00: Swimming at the beautiful natural pool

– 17:00- 17:15: See some wildlife animals at the Rehabilitation Center

– 17:15 – 17:30: Transport back to Phong Nha and the tour ends

What included?

Water, Barbecue Lunch in the forest (vegetarian options available), refreshments, transportation, motorbike helmet, rain poncho (if required), entry fees and experienced English speaking guide.

What to bring?

Good trekking shoes; swimwear, towel {but not your hotels}, insect repellent; long sleeve shirt and trousers; hat & sunscreen,change of clothes.
